Nihar Ranjan Raptan is a trailblazer in the field of anti-human trafficking and human rights activism, particularly in West Bengal. His expertise spans various domains, including finance, networking, donor relations, administration, capacity building, and resource generation. Raptan`s multifaceted approach extends to peace building and strategic planning, demonstrating his commitment to comprehensive solutions. Notably, he actively participates in rescue operations for victims of human trafficking, collaborating with national and international organizations, government administrations, and law enforcement agencies, including the police. His dedication to this cause is evident through his involvement in combating human trafficking. Furthermore, Raptan is a trainer and mentor for grassroots-level social workers, trafficking survivors, and gender crime survivors, imparting invaluable knowledge and guidance. He also plays a crucial role in nurturing and empowering community leaders. Additionally, Raptan serves as the Convener for the West Bengal State Coalition of NGOs and CSOs, a testament to his leadership and coordination skills, fostering collaboration among various stakeholders for the greater good.

Subhasree is the Programme Manager for GGBK. She specializes in Anti-Human Trafficking interventions, Gender-Based Violence, Child Protection, System Strengthening, Collaboration, Communication & Media, Facilitating Survivors’ Leadership, Monitoring Sustainable Development Goals, Women & Child Trafficking, Rescue Operation, Community-Based Rehabilitation & Reintegration, Visibility & Fundraising, Networking Programs, Report & Proposal, Peace Building, Survivors’ Protection, Witness Protection, and Facilitation of training and Monitoring.
Programme Coordinator
Shaswati is a Programme Coordinator for GGBK specializing in various critical areas, including Survivors’ Leadership Development, Facilitation of Survivors’ trainings and leadership building amongst the youth groups, Anti-Human Trafficking, Child Rights & Protection, Data Management, Networking, Visibility and Fundraising, MIS, EMIS, Report & Proposal, Media, and social media.
Senior Social Worker
Kakali works as a Senior Social Worker for GGBK. With close to 20 years of experience in the field, she primarily oversees counseling, community engagement, formation of Village Level and Block Level Child Protection Committees, protection, networking, media management, communication, and coordination with the duty bearers. She also oversees our collaboration with the Anti-Human Trafficking units and as a certified expert on POCSO cases also trains our social workers regarding case management to ensure access to justice for the survivors.
Senior Social Worker
Pampa works as a Senior Social Worker for GGBK. She specializes in psychological, social, and legal rehabilitation, aftercare, and the well-being of adolescent girls, women, and youth, particularly trafficking survivors. She is also dedicated to watch-keeping forces against human trafficking in persons, addressing domestic and gender-based violence (GBV), family displacement, supporting migrant laborers and domestic help, and circumstances related to these issues. Pampa is involved in case management, as well as the training of women-led self-help groups for income generation programs and promoting financial inclusion.
Social Worker
Chaitali works as a social worker for GGBK, specializing in disaster risk reduction, the impact of climate change on vulnerable communities, safe migration, providing hand-holding support, advanced training in food production (including organic farming), livestock and natural resource management, community empowerment, monitoring of watch group activities alternative livelihood options, and Self Help Group initiatives.
Facilitator
Kushalika works as a social worker for GGBK, who oversees facilitation of training for survivors belonging to BandhanMukti Survivors’ Collective, Community, and Youth Groups to build their Leadership. As a trained counsellor and a certified VLCPC Trainer, she oversees Case Management, formation and training of VLCPC`s, mitigation of Gender Based Violence, Survivors’ Engagement and Visual Documentation.
Facilitator
Chandana works as a social worker, serving as a facilitator and coordinator for community sensitization. She is also responsible for overseeing new case sourcing, sensitization of school children, engaging with community leadership, and facilitating youth group meetings.
Social Worker
Rajesh works as a social worker with a primary focus on new case sourcing and community health. In addition, he serves as a liaison between the organization and various government stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to advance the organization`s mission.
Advocate
Rahul, as a practicing DLSA (District Legal Services Authority) advocate, collaborates closely with GGBK to oversee legal advisory services and provide individual legal representation to survivors. His role also encompasses facilitating access to justice, assisting survivors in obtaining victim compensation, and representing survivors` voices before the judiciary and the justice system.
Accountant
Tumpa serves as the Accountant for GGBK, responsible for monitoring financial reports, internal accounting, and banking operations.
Documentation Officer
Tirthankar holds the position of Documentation Officer at GGBK, overseeing the comprehensive documentation processes, including MIS (Management Information System), EMIS (Education Management Information System), CMT (Case Management Tool), data updates, and providing administration support. Additionally, he serves as the treasurer of the organization, handling financial matters and ensuring smooth financial management.
Communication Coordinator
Chhandok is the Communication Coordinator at GGBK, responsible for coordinating external communications, including social media management, content ideation, and content management. Additionally, he plays a crucial role in supporting and overseeing fundraising efforts for the organization.
