NO NO!!! She is not just a ordinary girl!! She has more power than us, more courage than us. Let’s hear about her today….
She is Sanjana (name changed) from a little rural community of South 24 Parganas. She was trafficked and rescued from a state out of West Bengal, reintegrated and reunified in her community, received counselling and mental health treatment support from Goranbose Gram Bikash Kendra/GGBK. During the pandemic situation she found herself in extreme risk. She could not understand how to meet the need of her family, treatment expenses for her father and all. This time GGBK provided emergency support to the survivors of human trafficking like Sanjana. Sanjana is a very strong girl, with the emergency support she started a small business, a little tea cum snacks shop. During this dual crisis #Womenempowerment, #Rebuilding and #Rehabilitation support is ongoing. #Humantrafficking, #Childabuse and other exploitation is increasing even in this pandemic but empowering women and the vulnerable community not left behind. We have to support this survivors so that their pain can be transferred into power.
